Abstract

This book argues that to this document, in order to accelerate progress towards achieving the MDGs, we have to ensure that incremental achievements can be sustained in the long term. Fisheries has demonstrated that it can generate wealth for African families and nations, distribute benefits widely and cost effectively among women and the poor, make unique and vital nutritional contributions to human development and provide leverage for resource governance.
