Abstract

This is a case study on the conflict between two communities, one interested in sustainable resource use and has taken steps to prevent their fishery resources from unsustainable exploitation and the other fishing community which uses nets like wire/plastic, which have been declared illegal, to get maximum fish yield. These nets are destructive as they catch everything from the water resulting in dwindling fish population and environmental degradation.
