Decides to convene the high-level 2025 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development in France, in June 2025, to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14; 2. Also decides that all costs relating to the Conference and its preparation shall be financed through extrabudgetary resources; 3. Welcomes the generous offer by the Governments of Costa Rica and France to co-host and assume the costs of the Conference; A/77/L.40 22-28508 3/3 4. Decides to consider, before the end of the seventy-seventh session of the General Assembly, the modalities of the Conference in the most efficient and effective manner possible; 5. Expresses its intention to consider further opportunities to actively involve Governments, civil society, the private sector, the United Nations system and other actors in driving progress and supporting the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14.
