The global population is rising, and so is our demand for seafood. This puts global fish stocks at risk, threatening food security and the millions of livelihoods that depend on our oceans. This video explains overfishing, the threat it poses to fishing communities, and how sustainable fisheries management is the solution. The Marine Stewardship Council is an international non-profit organisation aiming to end overfishing and safeguard seafood supplies for the future. The MSC program sets globally recognised, science-based standards for sustainable fishing and the seafood supply chain. Our vision is an ocean teeming with life.
