Abstract

This document highlights major facts and developments regarding international trade in fish and fishery products that have occurred since the Tenth Session of the Sub-Committee on Fish Trade in 2006. It also addresses some emerging issues perceived to be of importance for the various stakeholders in the value-chain for internationally traded fish and fishery products. The Sub-Committee is invited to take note of the information provided, to contribute additional experiences and to provide guidance for future work by FAO in areas of relevance for international trade in fishery products.
