Abstract

In this document a new discipline for fisheries subsidies has been proposed- a) to prohibit certain forms of subsidies that contribute to overfishing and overcapacity, b)the importance of this sector to developing countries and c) to preserve the basic concepts, principles and effectiveness of the SCM and its instruments and objectives.
