Abstract

This paper presents preliminary views in relation to when and where notifications should be made and what they should contain. Notifications are important. They shed greater light on individual RTAs and through this understanding, allows WTO Members to better assess the implications for their own trade interests of RTAs involving other Members. It can also provide useful information to public and private sectors.
