Abstract
Experimental shrimp culture was conducted in seven earthen : ponds, sizes ranging from 0.08 to 0.38 ha, at the Mandapa m Regional Centre. Candidate species grown were Penaeus semisulcafus and P. monoc/on. Seeds produced in the backyard hatchery of the centre were used.
