Abstract

Pedro Bueno — Pete to his friends and colleagues — has been elected head of NACA by its governing council. NACA1 started as a development arm of the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) but became an autonomous regional organization owned and operated by its member governments since 1990. NACA has 14 member countries to date and is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Pete begins a 5-year term on April 1, 2001.
