Abstract

Another session of the training course on mangrove-friendly shrimp aquaculture was conducted in Yangon, Myanmar from November 27 to December 7, 2001. The first one was conducted in Thailand and the Philippines in September-October. Both sessions are part of the output of the SEAFDEC-ASEAN collaborative project, and are funded by the Japanese Trust Fund. The Yangon session was attended by 41 participants composed of government fisheries officers and private entrepreneurs of Myanmar. It was conducted in collaboration with the country’s Department of Fisheries.
