Abstract

Fourteen trainees from Asia and Africa recently graduated from SEAFDEC/AQD’s Third-Country Training Programme on Responsible Aquaculture Development. The two-month course aimed to intensify the dissemination of responsible and sustainable aquaculture technology. The conceptual framework of responsible aquaculture development is to develop culture techniques that are economically viable, environment-friendly, and involving approaches to coastal resources management that protect and conserve the resources as well as ensure equitable sharing of resource benefits by stakeholders.
