Abstract

SEAFDEC convened the Mangrove-Friendly Shrimp Culture Planning Workshop at Days Hotel in Iloilo City from 12 to 13 May 2000. The planning workshop reviewed the status of mangrove-friendly shrimp culture technologies in Southeast Asia, and finalized the research, demonstration and extension components of the subproject on shrimp under SEAFDECASEAN’s Mangrove-friendly Aquaculture Program. The technologies developed by the project (with funding assistance from the Government of Japan) will be promoted within the ASEAN membercountries.
