The incorporation of environment education within the formal system is advancing in the Philippines and the rest of Asia, but is still relatively underdeveloped and far from achieving its holistic and interdisciplinary objectives, Non-formal environment education through various recreational activities, such as visiting nature parks and biodiversity exhibits, can be effective means towards the ‘greening’ of the hearts, the minds, and the spirit of the citizens.
