Abstract
The year 2014 was particularly meaningful for all Indonesians, including the 13.8 mn families who depend on the fisheries sector for a livelihood. There are two principal reasons for this. First, like most Indonesian citizens, fisherfolk welcomed the 2014 presidential elections in anticipation of an unprecedented betterment of their lives.
