One-hundred and thirty-six FAO Members, including the European Union (EU), contributed to the 2024 edition of the questionnaire on monitoring the implementation of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (the Code) and related instruments, representing 69 percent of FAO Members. This reflects an increase in the number of respondents in comparison to the 2022 edition of the questionnaire whereby 99 FAO Members responded, including the European Union. Thirty-two Regional Fishery Bodies and 13 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) also submitted their respective responses to the questionnaire, representing an increase in the number of reporting NGOs in comparison to 2022 where only six responded. A detailed analysis of the responses to the questionnaire is presented in this document. Statistical tables summarizing Members’ responses referred to in this document are made available on the COFI website and in document COFI/2024/SBD.7, which is to be read in conjunction with this document.
