Abstract

This report summarizes the field visits conducted in Mozambique from 5–17 March 2025. The visits were undertaken by a Simply Solar GbR consultant, contracted by WorldFish, in collaboration with local WorldFish research associates, supported by the National Institute for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (IDEPA) headquarters and representatives from the local Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) office. The team consisted of Helena Salência from WorldFish and Christoph Müller from Simply Solar GbR. The field visits aimed to gather insights into the fisheries activities around Maputo Bay, Ilha de Inhaca, and the Nampula region. Carlos Meirinhos from the local WCS office supported the team in Nampula.
