Abstract

This book describes trials with nursery rearing of the tiger shrimp in floating cages. They were carried out in Ramnagar, Medinipur district, West Bengal, India from 1990 to 1992, The purpose was to introduce a technology by which the fry-catchers could augment their income by nursing the shrimp fry to a larger size, with higher market value, and be in a better bargaining position vis-a-vis the traders.
