Abstract

This working group report examines the critical problems affecting small-scale fisheries research. It provides an outline and diagnosis of the different small-scale fishery situations. This is followed by a more detailed discussion of fisheries management and associated fisheries research needs. It concludes with an assessment of the constraints to undertaking research.
