Abstract
Story of a Team of committed Social workers under Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS) created a fishing village on the principles of Cooperation and peoples organisations. Radharc films by Dr. Joseph Dunn of Ireland in 1975. This experience gave birth to a number of peoples organisations, particularly in India and Sri Lanka and provided direct base for the enactment of Kerala Fishermen Welfare Societies Act 1980 and indirectly Kerala Marine Regulation Act 1980.
