Abstract

This paper relates the initial success of marine conservation efforts initiated in Philippines. Highlights the potential utility of extension activities in the success of marine conservation efforts in the Philippine situation, stresses the need for sustained, holistic approaches incorporating resource-user participation in conservation and management.
