The key to successful marketing is to transport as many fish in the shortest time possible. So says Mr. Joaquin Vera Cruz, a fish dealer and owner of a commercial fishing boat (F/B Cita). Vera Cruz, a native of Guimbal, Iloilo, relates his experience in fishing and fish transport. “The fishing boat is of a type locally called kubkuban,” he says. “The boat is accompanied by light boats that carry nets (called catcher boats) and generators for the 500 watt light (“power” boat).
