Abstract

Recent decades have seen the dramatic increase in the conclusion of international conventions of binding nature, voluntary codes of conduct and guidelines and various programmes of action for implementation by states, inter-governmental organisations and private sector and non-governmental organizations. The paper discusses the international conventions that exists, which are structured in a chronological pattern.
